march is coming to an end, and i must say that i'm quite happy about it! it has been a long month, with not so much going on.. i hope april is going to be more exciting, and, by the look of it, it seems so! there's a couple of gigs lined up, one with Marco Lenzi (italian producer living in London) and one at a swimming pool (!), should be fun.. on top of that, music's quality in bars is very low, old style, often commercial and out of date and interest.. as long as people is drinking, that's all is important!<br />i wrote something about it a couple of years ago, if you read italian you can check it <a href="http://www.h2odj.org/magazine/66"target="new">here</a>.<br /> <br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">mainstreet cafe</span> is a different story, luckly, they have even a subwoofer (!), the queer crowd is big on thursdays evenings, so i really enjoyed playing a good 4 hrs set, cruising styles and keeping a steady beat that moved quite a few heads and even some feet. must say that, if it would have been a bit louder and darker, it would have turned in a real club night! well worth accepting the invitation from <span style="font-weight:bold;">frogette</span>, and i discovered i was the first male dj invited on the decks of <span style="font-weight:bold;">vulvalounge</span> (this is the name of the do), what an honour! i've added the address of this blog on the <a href="http://www.h2odj.org"target="new">h2o dj crew</a> website, so we'll see if our fans appreciate it. it's always been a problem not having the chance to get a real feedback, and not having any of our music online, so i see this as a good possibility. up until last year we had a weekly radio show on <a href="http://www.radiokcentrale.it"target="new">radio k centrale</a> here in bologna, but the radio has changed ownership and we are not in the new line up (better, don't like their attitude!). the old staff is working on a webradio project and they talk about satellite and digital radio, a new form of broadcasting across the planet.. good luck! you can also check their previous issues on the website, and see how they are organized. i think their point of view it's pretty wide and comprehend a lot of generes.<br /><br />this week in <span style="font-weight:bold;">bologna</span> seems to get pretty actic and full of interesting events: friday 18 there's a clash of names, from <span style="font-weight:bold;">decadence</span>, a goth and fetish event hosting <span style="font-weight:bold;">alexander hacke</span> (einsturzende neubauten) on the decks, till <a href="http://www.cassero.it"target="new">cassero</a> offering nevertheless mr <span style="font-weight:bold;">matthew herbert</span>!
